Prom Girl x Small Girls at the Delaware Mud Run

We literally went the extra miles for client PromGirl.com last weekend… all the way down to Delaware where they were participating in a charity mud run with their DE offices!  Jumping on board a few days before the event, we didn’t actually end up running the 5k race/obstacle course, but instead ran the PromGirl socials for that day and sported a tutu to show our team spirit.

Check out some of the photos from the race above-

  • tweeting from two phones in a tutu
  • the Prom Girl school bus and and teams
  • Getting corny & muddy with Greg and Cheryl of Prom Girl

Follow them on instagram to check out more photos of their fun, glittery adventures- @promgirlxo

Trapped in the Tumblr Closet: Stephen Chbosky

In 1999, Stephen Chbosky’s debut novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower was in every gym locker and JanSport. It was passed around at slumber parties, smuggled inside biology textbooks, and banned from schools around the country. Written entirely in letters to an unnamed stranger, Perks explored sex, drugs, friendship, loneliness, movies, music, and everything else on the teenage mind. Today, the film of this beloved book, 13 years in the making, finally opens in theaters, starring Emma “Hermione” Watson. We trapped Chbosky in our closet to find out what it all feels like.

We Heart Book Bloggers

As you know, The Perks of Bring a Wallflower movie comes out tomorrow! As we wait in excitement for the film we decided it would probably be a good idea to re-read the book. It’s an old favorite, of course. And then we thought, why do it alone when we have so many amazing book bloggin’ BFF’s online. So we started an unofficial book club, mailed out some books and created a pretty classy Spotify playlist so we could listen to the soundtrack as we read along.

And so began our virtual book club. Please feel free to check out the reviews from our lovely bloggers, we heart them.

And don’t forget to check out the Spotify playlist HERE! Happy Reading!!

When you read The Perks of Being a Wallflower, it’s damn easy to fall for the troublemaker-slash-outsider who is Sam, just like Charlie does. And now that Emma Watson’s going to be playing her in the movie version this month—well, it couldn’t really get much better. Here’s…

It is with great pleasure that we worked on HUSH, Gawker’s 3rd Annual Silent Disco

On August 9th, we switched things up from their regular silent rooftop discos of the past and took the party to the New York Public Library (get it? HUSH! It’s a library reference!), where we slipped on our dancing shoes, sipped on Southern Comfort specialty cocktails, and styled ourselves in shiny, golden attire. Silence is golden, afterall.

Brilliant synergism aside, we got to be part of a pretty kickass party, with the likes of Yeasayer, Das Racist, and DJ Kalkutta spinning silent tunage allllll night looooong.

The halls were decked with golden furniture and makeup artists roamed the party gold dusting and gold shimmering patrons in case the gilded accessories we’d laid out weren’t enough.

Attendees included recent Project Runway competitor Buffi Jamanalah, the usual media suspects from ABC’s Maya Baratz to Today Show’s Rina Raphael, a majority of the FourSquare team (that office knows how to party) as well as tech founders such as Aviary’s Michael Galpert and Draw Something creator Charles Foreman.  And, of course, Gawker Media’s notorious Nick Denton was there as the gilded disco’s very own King Midas.
