With Hurricane Sandy putting most of NYC, and the startups therein, out of commission last week, we postponed NYC’s largest tech talent fair UNCUBED and spent the time instead helping NY get back on its feet.
The new dates are now Monday, November 12th and Tuesday, November 13th.
Same schedule and same great founders speaking about their startups- from Neil Blumenthal of Warby Parker to the lovely Birchbox ladies- and small fries to Spotify putting on a show and dance to keep and attract top talent.
The proceeds from the panels and fun of Day 2 will go towards Hurricane Sandy relief. So get out of the house, do some good, and walk out with a new job in the tech center of NYC.

Small Girls, Big Hurricane!

Sure, we’ve stocked up on Frankenstorm essentials: candy, wine, books, and flashlights—but we’ve all got that one special “survival tool” that we’re relying on to see us through to the other end of this megastorm.

Annie is depending on her candles in case of a power outage, “I have flashlights for adventures, and candles to set the mood!”

Meanwhile, Bethany is turning to art supplies, “I’m just going to collage and craft during this whole thing. I need a little art therapy to distract me from my pals’ dramatic Facebook statuses. Hurrican’t tell me nothing!”

Bianca’s all set with her Hurricane Boyfriend, like a superhero “he bought supplies and he cleaned the house in preparation for the storm. If left to my own devices I’d be dancing in a corner with jameson in hand, trying to pretend like the storm isn’t even a real thing.”

And Mallory is hunkering down with her Sims, “I tasked all my Sims with ‘cook large meal’ so they’ll have provisions throughout the hurricane in case the power goes out/my battery dies.”
