I’ve never tried any products from theBalm before, but today they’re celebrating their new website redesign by offering 50% off on all purchases for the next 24 hours. Sounds like a good excuse to gorge on blush.
I snatched up their range of Instain Long-Wearing Powder Staining Blush, all of which are currently on back-order, but thankfully theBalm will still honor the sale price!
We’re huge fans of theBalm- as Mallory currently wears her Staniac on her cheeks today.

How Mal and I would walk the runway, if we were to walk the runway… wearing just that. Probably. - Bianca

The White Fall: Andrea Diodati FW13 NYFW + Small Girls PR!
Four score and a couple months ago, Mallory was lounging in her jammies, watching the telly (Sundance Channel’s “All On The Line”), when a magnificent creature graced the screen. It was Andrea Diodati, and her whimsical sense of style was so Small Girls-esque (think pink, girly, and spunky) that it instantly captured Mal’s Hello Kitty loving heart.
And so, we’re beyond thrilled to be working with Andrea for the NYFW debut of her Fall 2013 line, at an enchanted little pink and white chapel on the Upper East Side of Manhattan this Wednesday!
Andrea’s line in all its glory is inspired by textures hailing from vintage cheerleading uniforms and the delicate disposition of white birch tree branches. Classically trained pianist, Nibia, will serenade the models as they walk down the aisles of All Souls Chapel, and following the show, there will be snowy white cotton candy to nibble on and sparkling pink lemonade to sip.

If you want to meet us at the chapel, contact us at bigbiz@smallgirlspr.com for a press pass!
Apparently we need to schedule a trip to Taiwan sometime in the very immediate future because not only is it home to the first ~*Hello Kitty*~ themed cafe, but as of last week, it’s also home to the world’s first Barbie themed restaurant.
Just how our girl Barbie would want it, the restaurant’s interior is painted bright pink and magenta from floor to ceiling with bling to match. The bar tables look like the heel of a stiletto and some of the chairs are even wearing tutus. Also, the waitresses at the Barbie spot wear tutus and tiaras, so we’re sure the Small Girls crew will fit right in (#always #wearing #our #invisible #crowns).
There’s also a jumbo sized Barbie box that visitors can hang in if they want to feel like a packaged Barbie girl IRL, because who wouldn’t want to be Barbie?
A look inside our Barbie’s Dream Closet on The Coveteur
It’s no secret that we’re obsessed with Barbie, so when The Coveteur opened the closet doors of our favorite fashion icon, we most definitely squealed with excitement. We’ll admit to the fact that we’ve watched multiple episodes of “Barbie: Life in the Dream House”- particularly those that cover the topic of her massive wardrobe. Oh yeah… we know how it goes down in BB’s closet.
Check out all the pink, glitter, and ruffles that make up Barbie’s style. Looking through the racks, we’re pretty sure that we own life size variations of most of these pieces. Also, some of those dresses are pretty PromGirl-esque, don’t you think?

Small Girls Style: We Channel the Pink Ladies with Custom Madison Maxey Blazers!
Don’t let our name mislead you… though we started small, as our company has grown so have our girls. With a nine inch range between our heights we are definitely not a “one size fits all” crew!
Fit is extremely important when it comes to blazers, so when we decided to get matching ones for the team it was important that while identical in style, they’d also cater to our varying sizes.
This is where Madison Maxey comes in (who we had the pleasure of meeting and working with last November). They made our dreams of being the Pink Ladies of the biz come true in these signature pink & black blazers created just for us! We picked our style, the color scheme, got ourselves measured, and voila.
Madison Maxey has also recently launched a kickstarter campaign to help fund their growing business- which includes keeping production onshore and diversifying into #menswear. Watch the video to find out more about their vision and how they got started (we honestly can’t believe they’re both only 19! you go gurls!)
While you’re at it, you can enter their giveaway for a chance to win a custom blazer of your own! All you have to do is tell Madison Maxey the name of the band featured in their Kickstarter video: http://bit.ly/madisonmaxeygiveaway.
Big thank you to Maddy and Tessa! We’re gonna ruuuule the school rockin’ our one of a kind blazers everywhere we go.

Video Recap of our PromGirl 2013 Fashion Extravaganza
Right before the holiday break, we threw the biggest prom fashion show NYC has ever seen to premiere 2013 prom trends a la PromGirl.com.
The halls were decked with rose sculptures hanging from the ceiling, magenta christmas light columns, and a pink runway, while the guests satisfied their sweet tooth with a pink & silver-colored vintage candy bar and tiara-encrusted cake pops.
The cast of NEXT models were joined on the runway by plus-size models from Wilhemina as well as America’s Next Top Model Anne Markley with her prom date, Tumblr’s puppy mascot, Tommy Pom.
Friends from XOJane, Seventeen Magazine, Teen Vogue, and Girl’s Life, as well as some of our favorite bloggers, sat front row along teenage fans scoping out what they’ll be wearing to prom this spring seasons.
Then of course, everyone jumped into the glittery Bosco Booth with their gifs creating a twist to traditional Prom Photos.
Watch the video to relive prom and click through to the next to see some behind-the-scenes takes.
