If there’s one thing we’re adamant about, it’s being nice to everyone (no really, it’s our number one PR tip). So naturally, we’re really into More Love Letters, a startup organization that encourages people to send love letters to strangers all over the world.
More Love Letters is partnering up with KIND—makers of those delicious little nutty snacks that are always calling your name from the front of Starbucks registers. On April 22nd, MLL and KIND are launching a lovely campaign called Love Letter Your Community; which means you should spread #kindwords and get to pennin’ a bunch of love letters to send out to folks in your community!
If you’re so inclined to throw a Love Letter Your Community party (we are!), fill out THIS FORM by April 8 to get a Love Letter writing kit, ++plus++ KIND will send you some complimentary snacks for your party guests.
… and we’re nominated for Best Startup Couple! We know we’re not your typical couple by standard definition, but we’ve said since day one that the experience of starting this business together is akin to the experience of dating.
We met at a party, introduced by two friends, and found ourselves as the last two people dancing together at the end of the night. #swoon
We discovered each other’s social media the next day and slowly but surely we started going out to lunch and taking each other as our eternal +1 to events and introducing one another to our circles of friends. A lot of the activity we do in the name of our clients has mirrored the way our own relationship was built: (launch) parties, social media (management), and introductions to new friends (& partners.)
When we founded Small Girls, we spent every waking minute together, from office to meals to meetups to events and demos. We were the first we’d text in the morning and the last we’d talk to at night, as we made it our lives to start this business from nothing.
So you see… we’re just as eligible to win as any other couple.
When we started following the Glitter Guide’s tumblr prior to the site launch, we were instantly obsessed. We reached out to Taylor to let her know that we too subscribe to the glitter 4 life mantra, as we spread Small Girls #glittervision all over our internets.
It’s getting close to a year since Small Girls & Glitter Guide made beautiful sparkly magic for their site launch event in SF. It has been so amazing to see Taylor’s vision come to life, as we followed GG’s posts on great bloggers, fashion, lifestyle and more (all in it’s shimmery glory, of course).
We thought, what better way to show our <3 than with a glittery gif?
Refinery 29… Small Girls will be your valentine!

We’ll TOTALLY be their Valentine… who needs a bf when you have Refinery 29.

is barbie a trendsetter? judging by its recent article, wwd seems to think so. flounce galore! pink satin as far as the eye can see! but too much of the feminine shade and you can end up looking like cotton candy instead of society’s prettiest children’s toy.
for a similar look that isn’t over-the-top, try these 4 pieces under $100:

Video Review: A Small Girls Experiment- Harajuku Fragrances
DAY 1: LOVE 1/10/11
We got some samples of the Harajuku Fragrances during Fashion’s Night Out 2010… from a fragrance truck no less. Mallory pushed her way to the front of the crowd and snagged them from Gwen Stefani herself.
Pushin through…
Yeah!!
We decided to put them to the test by wearing a different scent each day this week, and arranging our outfits according to how we interpret each fragrance.
Watch our review of Day 1 (above), where we wear (and dress like) LOVE <3 <3
We REALLY LOVE this talk that Gary did about businesses acting more human. It’s something that we convey to our clients all the time. Sometimes, businesses get too caught up in the numbers game, that they miss the genuine interaction they should be having with your customers, clients, fans, and friends.
We think it’s important to think about the people first and the numbers second, because we believe that when you think about the people and they genuinely love the product or service, the numbers will come.
It’s like making friends and maintaining relationships… which is our favorite thing to do ever! We love friends and we love sharing awesome things!
Also, we really like Gary’s shirt. Bianca would totally wear that shirt.
They run Small Girls PR, a digitally-focused creative agency specializing in social interaction both on-line and off. Client services include social media management, guerilla marketing and event production.
This is their collective blog. A fun scrapbook of things they like, their day to day activities, client projects, event announcements, and more!
