Last night was a Small Girls PR party for the books.
PUNCH DRUNK FASHION kicked off the launch of virtual consignment site ReFashioner.com Far from your average fashion party, we celebrated with a night of boxing and runway as ReFashioner founder Kate Sekules is not only a champion of sustainable fashion, but also a former champion boxer, authoring the best-selling memoir “The Boxer’s Heart.”
With four rounds of women’s boxing in one ring and aggressively choreographed vogue walk-offs by Streb Dance Company in the other, attendees cheered on the fights while teetering in their fendi heels. Enthusiastic guests included the Daily Candy team, Bust Mag editors, Huffington Post tech writers, and fashion bloggers from Fabric Snob to Nubia’s Nonsense, who all sipped on “knockout” punch mixed by NY Times cocktail authority David Wondrich.
Guests got to stage their own fights for The Style Blogger’s Alex Crawford as he snapped them donning champion belts, boxing gloves, and of course, posing with fashion mannequins as per the joint fashion v boxing spirit of the evening.
We want to thank our lovely friends at Birchbox for providing the amazing assortment of bespoke makeup boxes for guests to take home - it helps to clean up and look pretty post-fight.
